Event description:

Calling all humanities-interested students! History, Literature, Philosophy, Art!

What *careers* are you envisioning for yourselves? That question is worth some thought – even in Week 12 of a busy semester. Do yourself a favor and carve out some time for this event, one week from tomorrow.

You are invited to attend the Humanities in Action workshop on Sunday afternoon, November 17th, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Now in its sixth year, Humanities in Action is directed at undergraduates in the humanities who are anxious about finding a rewarding career and are open to hearing some original case histories.

One afternoon just might transform your career expectations. You’ll talk with Yalies who majored in the humanities. They have worked at places such as: Coca-Cola, The Smithsonian, Art Institute of Chicago, Carnegie Mellon, Duke & Winston, The Hood Museum (Dartmouth), IvyConnect, Presidio, Private Prep, Teach for America, Wellinks, Xenia Visuals, and Yale. This event will start with a keynote panel followed by intimate, themed breakout sessions. Alums will chat personally with you about what it takes to launch into, thrive in, and move on from different careers. Hors d’oeuvres will be provided during a networking reception.
