October 11, 2019

“Yale Professors Tina Lu and Shawkat Toorawa lead students in a new first year Yale seminar called “Six Pretty Good Books.” The course is designed to introduce students to “exceptional” books that have had long cultural lives. The students are encouraged to consider what makes ancient texts “pretty good,” that is, great.”
