Humanities Innovations in the Chronicle of Higher Ed

Professors Ayesha Ramachandran and Marta Figlierowicz answered the Humanities Program’s call for innovation last year with a new core seminar on the self, which has now become a successful lecture course. They happily crossed the usual boundaries between approaches and combined canonical texts by Plato, Augustine and Shakespeare with anti-colonial reflections by Franz Fanon, feminist writings, Persian ghazals and Sanskrit drama — and with new technologies in the classroom.
